ABOUT THE BRAND:
Golf Waterland is a golf course in Amsterdam that’s looking to turn the way we see the golf industry on its head! Having recently been taken over by a new, younger management team, Golf Waterland underwent a rebrand that took the business from your typical “country club and 80’s elegance” aesthetic into a new, vibrant and artistic place. This is a golfing facility that’s specifically aimed towards young creatives. The brand takes a traditionally exclusive, austere space into a fun, exciting and dynamic one, and we were here to help. They’ve also revamped their in-house aesthetics, through new signage, menus and decorative branding, to reflect their new brand identity.

Golf Waterland’s new management team approached us, having inherited a brand they didn’t align with. By sharing inspiration and ideas with us, we were able to develop a brand identity, complete with colors, logos and fonts, that they felt accurately represented their new venue. After confirming their new brand identity, we got to work developing a newer, more cosmopolitan website for them. We changed up the format to reflect a more dynamic booking and venue management system, and integrated their new photographs seamlessly into a cohesive brand “home.”
One of our favorite integrations into the Golf Waterland website is their new tee time booking system. Take a look at the pop-up menu in the bottom right-hand corner of their site to see how we digitized and automated their scheduling process. This way, we could free up time for them to concentrate on running their venue.
One of the challenges we faced on this project was the language barrier. The majority of our team speaks English as a first language, and the website is primarily in dutch. We circumnavigated this obstacle with loads of translation software and even more common sense. The team at Dawning Digital loves a challenge, and this is exactly the sort we’re up for.
